Asparagus masala


Ingredients
------------
Asparagus - 8 or 9
onion-1/2
mustard seeds(optional),fennel seeds, cumin seeds -few
lemon - 7 to 8 drops
Garam Masala-1/2 spoon
coriander powder-1/4 spoon
oil,salt - as required

Method
--------
The soft portion of the asparagus is what I used for cooking. I started to this after a word from 'Kmalar'-one of our family friends.
Saute the spices in oil for few minutes. then let the onion and salt to fry for sometime.
Now add the round cut asparagus . It smells like a herb. after it's cooked for sometime, add the garam masala, lemon juice and coriander powder and now it's ready to eat :)

Idly Flour (using long grain rice)

Ingredients
-----------
Long grain rice 2 and half cups (As the idly rice become very demanding-"M" mami idea)
U.dal- 1 cup soaked for 2 to 3 hours
fenugreek-1teaspoon
Water - Very less needed after grind while mixing other than soaking.

Method
------
Let 2 cups of rice soaked for 6 hours. Meanwhile cook the 1/2 cup of remaining rice.
Grind all the above finely and let it stand overnight so that the flour comes up buffing.

Red kidney beans (as temple prasad or eve snacks)

Ingredients
------------
Rajma(red kidney beans)- 1 cup - soaked overnight
red chilly -4
mustard, cumin seeds, urad dal,hinge,oil,turmeric powder, salt-3/4 tblspn

Method
--------
Pressure cook the soaked rajma with salt for 15 sounds - so that it's little mushy inside.
then drain and keep aside.

Saute the spices and mix well.

Groundnut Chutney

Ingredients
------------
Groundnut-1/2 cup
salt-to taste
red chilly-5
onion(small)-1
Garlic-1 piece
water,oil, tamarind paste- as needed.
mustard, urad dal, cumin seeds, curry leaves

Method
--------
Let the groudnut saute for few mins . Remove the skins.
Keep aside.
Saute the onion, red chillies and garlic also.
Then grind the above well with less water.

Finally, saute the spices in oil and mix well. Now you're ready to eat chutney with Idli or dosa :)

Method
--------
Milk-3/4 cup
jamun packet-1
Water-4cups
Sugar-half to 3/4 cup(as you want the sweet to be)

Make small round of balls as after the process, it gets big after absorbing jeera.

Jeera as was told in rawa laddoo(One of my previous sweets dish)

Tip: As shown behind the jamun packet, but in some packets they ask to mix water.
It tastes better when the dough is made out of milk.

Here, in this picture you could see the jeera fully absorbed. As I liked this consistency, I dint mix further with jeera.
